About Stainless Steel 317 Fasteners
Stainless Steel 317 is an austenitic stainless steel grade containing higher levels of chromium, nickel, and molybdenum compared to conventional 304 and 316 grades. The increased molybdenum content enhances resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chemical attack, especially in chloride-rich environments.
SS 317 fasteners are generally non-magnetic and exhibit excellent corrosion resistance under typical atmospheric and industrial conditions. They also perform well in reducing and moderately oxidizing environments, making them suitable for demanding applications.
